The Pergamon Museum on Museum Island in Berlin is very unique and a must-see while in the city. Unlike most museums where the museum is built and filled with artifacts, in the case of the Pergamon Museum, the many of the artifacts were first placed and the museum was subsequently constructed. Because of this, there are actually entire buildings inside the building of the museum. Photos inside the museum are difficult to take because of the limited space, but the following images can give you an idea of what I mean..

ReplyDeleteLooks like many of the artifacts were "procured" in the many travels of the regime......maybe they should be returned to their rightful owners? Of course, I may be a little prejudice
